PG is the acronym for Phantom Gaming, which ASRock says should be "Fast, Mysterious and Unbeatable". Reducing extras produces a board that, if done correctly, can work well on the most common tasks, but does not require a small inheritance to buy. For just $129.99, ASRock is offering the H670 PG Riptide as a featherweight contender for your custom PC. Not every consumer needs or wants the latest bells and whistles on a motherboard, and they certainly don't like to pay for such things if they go unused.
Neither the best equipped nor the cheapest motherboard in Asrock's barn, but the H670 PG Riptide opens an excellent feature and price balance for the Intel "Alder Lake" risers.
